The right of children and young people to attend school is regulated in Chapter 29, Sections 2–3 of the Swedish Education Act (2010:800) | Sveriges riksdag (riksdagen.se). This means that there are limitations on the right to education for certain young people who are in Sweden without being officially registered.
If you are applying for language introduction (språkintroduktion) after the regular upper secondary school admission period, you must submit your application here and attach copies of the required documents.
Asylum seekers or refugees according to EUs Temporary Protection Directive
Asylum seekers and refugees according to EUs Temporary Protection Directive must provide the following documents:
- Copies of passports for you and your parents. If you are of legal age, you only need to attach a copy of your own passport.
- LMA card or a certificate from the Swedish Migration Agency (Migrationsverket) confirming the asylum application or residence permit card.
Asylum seekers and refugees according to EUs Temporary Protection Directive must have a residence address in Nacka Municipality and must also have registered the same address with the Swedish Migration Agency (Migrationsverket). The residence address stated in the application will always be verified with the Migration Agency (Migrationsverket) to ensure accuracy.
Citizens of an EU Country, EEA Country, or Switzerland
Citizens of an EU country, EEA country, or Switzerland must provide the following documents:
- Copies of passports for you and your parents. If you are of legal age, you only need to attach a copy of your own passport.
- Signed rental or purchase agreement (or c/o address if you are living as a subtenant with someone).
- Employment contract or proof of study enrollment.
In the application, EU citizens must also specify which condition for the right of residence they meet.
Non-EU Citizens
Non-EU citizens must provide the following documents:
- Copies of passports for you and your parents. If you are of legal age, you only need to attach a copy of your own passport.
- Signed rental or purchase agreement (or c/o address if you are living as a subtenant with someone).
- A copy of a residence permit valid for at least one year.
- A copy of the Swedish Tax Agency's (Skatteverket) stamped form showing that an application for registration has been submitted.
If you are staying in the country without legal authorization or governmental approval (undocumented), this must be indicated in the application.
